In a recent COVID travel development, America’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a 'Level One' notice for its citizens travelling to India. This means that fully vaccinated people travelling to India are at a low risk of contracting the virus and developing severe symptoms.
CDC has divided the countries in four zones: Level 2: Moderate
Level 1: Low
In its notice, CDC said, "Your risk of contracting COVID-19 and developing severe symptoms may be lower if you are fully vaccinated with an FDA (Food and Drug Administration) authorised vaccine."
The update comes soon after India resumed quarantine-free entry for travellers from 99 nations. These 99 countries have mutually agreed to recognise the COVID-19 vaccination certificates with New Delhi. Those coming to India from France, America, England, Germany, Australia, the Netherlands and Russia have been listed under "Category A". The Union Ministry of Tourism took to Twitter and tweeted,

All the travellers need to do is submit a self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal (newdelhiairport.in) and upload their negative RT-PCR test result not older than 72 hours prior to the journey.
